Ahmed Mushfiq Mobarak is the Jerome Kasoff '54 Professor of Management and Economics at the Yale School of Management, holding a joint appointment with Yale's Department of Economics. A development economist of international standing, he is the founder and Faculty Director of the Yale Research Initiative on Innovation and Scale (Y-RISE), which studies how interventions proven effective in trials can be responsibly scaled to reach millions.

Professor Mobarak is among the pioneers of using randomized controlled trials in development economics, designing field experiments that examine how people in developing countries can be encouraged to adopt welfare-improving technologies and behaviors, alongside research on migration and economic resilience. His field work spans Bangladesh, Brazil, Chile, India, Kenya, Nepal, and Malawi, and his contributions have been covered by outlets including the New York Times and The Economist.
